Textured Models

I started doing my textures on Maya8, I used both the cylindrical and planar mapping, I found that the uv mapping was easy once I got the hang of it, it was loads of practice that I found myself becoming more comfortable using the textured tools in Maya8 and photo shop. half of the textures that I put onto my blog I had to do loads of work in Maya8 with cropping the textures because some of the textures were 3D. I found that mapping and using the bump tool gave my design depth and a sense of feeling more real.

This is the mapping image that I copied into photo shop to then put a texture on it.
